Possible Causes
Shorted touchpad membrane, Liquid intrusion into keypad, Physically stuck key, Damaged keypad ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before working on the control panel.
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button individually to feel for one that is stuck or does not click. Clean around the buttons with a slightly damp cloth (power off) and dry thoroughly.
- Inspect for spills: If liquids have been spilled on the control panel, allow it to dry for several hours with the panel slightly open, or use gentle airflow. Do not use heat guns.
- Inspect keypad ribbon: Remove the control panel and check the ribbon cable for damage. Reseat it into the control board.
- Replace keypad/control panel: If F7 persists, replace the touchpad or the entire control panel assembly, depending on how your Stoves model is designed.
