Possible Causes
Failed cooling fan motor, Blocked cooling air vents, Faulty oven temperature sensor, Stuck closed heating relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool completely before inspection.
- Check cooling fan operation: During a bake or self-clean cycle, the internal cooling fan should run. If it does not, test the fan motor for continuity and supply voltage. Replace the cooling fan motor if it is open or seized.
- Inspect vents: Ensure that the oven's top and rear vents are not blocked by cabinetry, foil, or debris. Clear any obstructions.
- Test temperature sensor: Measure the oven sensor resistance at room temperature (~1050–1100 Ω). Replace if out of range.
- Control board relays: If the oven continues heating when it should be off, the heating relay on the EOC may be stuck closed. Replace the control board.
