Possible Causes

Shorted touch key on glass panel, Contaminants or moisture on touch surface, Damaged keypad ribbon cable, Faulty user interface board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing any panels.

  • Clean the touch surface: Wipe the glass control panel with a soft, slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the panel.
  • Power reset: Turn off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power. If E06 appears immediately or when a specific key is pressed, that key circuit may be shorted.
  • Inspect behind panel: Remove the control panel trim and gently pull the panel forward. Check for moisture, grease, or corrosion on the back of the touch assembly and connectors.
  • Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the keypad ribbon cable at both ends. Ensure it is straight and fully inserted.
  • Replace touch panel: If the error persists and certain keys do not respond or are always "on," replace the touch control panel or keypad assembly.
  • Control board consideration: If a new keypad does not resolve the issue, the user interface or main control board may be defective and should be replaced by a professional.
