Possible Causes
Open broil heating element, Loose or burned broil element connections, Damaged wiring harness to broil element, Failed broil relay on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the broil element to cool completely before inspection.
- Inspect broil element: Look at the top of the oven cavity for the broil element. Check for visible breaks, blisters, or sagging.
- Access terminals: Remove the rear panel to access the broil element terminals. Inspect for burned or loose connections.
- Test element: With power off, disconnect one wire and measure resistance across the element. An open circuit indicates a failed broil element that must be replaced.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the broil element to the control board for damage. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board: If the element and wiring are intact but the broil circuit never energizes, the broil relay on the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
