Possible Causes
User-activated Sabbath mode, Accidental button sequence triggering Sabbath mode
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal repair is needed; this is a user setting.
- Exit Sabbath mode: On most Summit ovens, press and hold the Clock or Timer button (or a specific key combination listed in the manual) for 3–5 seconds until the SAb indicator disappears.
- Power reset: If you cannot exit using the keypad, turn off the breaker for 1 minute, restore power, and immediately attempt the Sabbath mode exit sequence again.
- Consult manual: Refer to your specific model’s user guide for the exact Sabbath mode instructions, as they vary by control design.
If the display remains stuck in SAb and will not respond, the control panel or electronic control board may be malfunctioning and require service.
