Possible Causes
Door switch stuck in open position, Shorted light relay on control board, Misaligned door not depressing switch fully
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before testing switches or removing panels.
- Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes fully and presses the door switch plunger. Adjust hinges if needed.
- Test door switch: Press the switch manually and listen for a click. Use a multimeter to verify continuity changes when pressed. Replace the door switch if it fails.
- Control relay: If the switch is good but the light remains on, the light relay on the control board may be stuck closed. Replace the electronic oven control board.
Leaving the light on continuously can overheat the bulb and socket; correct the issue promptly.
