Possible Causes
Metal panels expanding and contracting, Loose oven racks or supports, Warped bake or broil element, Loose mounting screws on internal panels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool before tightening any screws or adjusting components.
- Identify source: Listen carefully to locate where the noise originates (back panel, sides, top, or door).
- Check racks and guides: Ensure oven racks are properly seated and not rubbing against side walls. Adjust or replace bent rack supports if necessary.
- Tighten panels: Remove the rear or side panels and tighten any loose screws securing internal sheet metal or the fan housing.
- Inspect elements: Look for elements that are touching the oven cavity or warped significantly. Replace the bake element or broil element if deformed.
Some minor popping from metal expansion is normal, but very loud or new noises should be investigated.
