Summit
Temperature Calibration or Sensor Drift
Oven temperature is consistently too hot or too cold compared to the set temperature; food overcooks or undercooks without error codes.

Possible Causes
Aged or drifting oven temperature sensor, Miscalibrated electronic oven control, Poor rack placement or airflow, Door gasket leaks causing heat loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the oven to cool before placing or removing thermometers.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an oven-safe thermometer in the center of the middle rack. Preheat to 350°F and allow 15–20 minutes after preheat. Compare the reading to the set temperature.
- Adjust calibration: Many Summit electronic controls allow temperature offset. Refer to your manual to adjust the oven temperature up or down (often in 5–10°F increments) to match the thermometer reading.
- Inspect door gasket: Check the door seal for gaps, tears, or hardened sections. Replace the oven door gasket if it does not seal evenly all around.
- Check sensor: If calibration cannot correct a large error (over 35–40°F), test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to specifications. Replace if out of range.
Always test temperature accuracy after any repair or adjustment by baking a known recipe and monitoring results.
