Oven overheats rapidly, may burn food, or shuts down with E02 displayed; cooling fan may run continuously.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool completely before inspection.

Inspection and checks:

• Open the oven door and visually inspect the temperature sensor probe. Ensure it is not bent into contact with a heating element or metal wall, which can cause false high readings.
• Remove the rear cover (after disconnecting power) and verify that the sensor wiring is intact and not melted or pinched.
• Measure the sensor resistance at room temperature with a multimeter. Compare to the expected range for your Teka model. A very low resistance (near short) indicates a defective sensor.
• Check that the cooling fan (tangential fan around the oven cavity) spins freely and is not obstructed by insulation or wiring. A failed cooling fan can cause the control board to detect overtemperature.
• Clean any dust from ventilation slots around the oven cabinet to improve airflow.
• Replace the NTC sensor if readings are out of specification. If the sensor is correct and cooling fan works, the electronic control board may be misreading temperature and require replacement.

Note: Persistent E02 after sensor replacement usually points to a faulty control board or serious airflow issue; professional diagnosis is recommended.
