Oven does not heat and E03 appears shortly after starting a cooking program.

Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing any panels.

Element and wiring check:

• Remove the oven back panel to access the upper heating element terminals (in some Teka models, the element can also be accessed from inside the cavity by removing fixing screws).
• Visually inspect the element for blisters, cracks, or burn marks, especially near the terminals.
• Disconnect the wires from the element and measure resistance across the element with a multimeter. A typical healthy element will show a finite resistance (often 20–60 Ω depending on power rating). Infinite resistance indicates an open element.
• Inspect the wiring connectors for heat damage or looseness. Clean and tighten or replace spade connectors as needed.
• If the element is open or visibly damaged, replace it with a Teka-compatible upper heating element, ensuring correct routing and secure connections.
• If the element tests good, check continuity from the element wires back to the control board and inspect the board for burned relay contacts. A failed relay or PCB track will require control board repair or replacement.

Final test: Reassemble, restore power, and run a conventional bake or grill function to confirm that the upper element heats and E03 no longer appears.
