Possible Causes

Open circular heating element around fan, loose or burned element connectors, broken wiring to fan element, failed fan-element relay on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the mains before removing the oven from the cabinet or opening panels.

Check the circular heating element:

  • Remove the oven rear inner panel (inside the cavity) to expose the circular heating element and convection fan assembly.
  • Inspect the circular element for cracks, hot spots, or deformation.
  • Disconnect the element leads and measure resistance with a multimeter. Infinite resistance indicates a failed element.
  • Check that the spade connectors are tight and free of corrosion or burning. Replace any discolored or loose connectors.
  • Inspect the wiring harness from the element to the control board for damage or pinched sections.
  • Replace the circular heating element with a Teka-compatible part if it is open or visibly damaged.
  • If the element is good, the issue may be a faulty relay or track on the control board; this typically requires board replacement.

After repair: Refit the rear inner panel, restore power, and test a fan-forced mode (e.g., 180°C). Confirm that the oven heats evenly and E05 is cleared.
