Possible Causes
Faulty clock module on control board, corrupted EEPROM settings, power surge damage, defective user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing the control electronics.
Reset and inspection:
- First, attempt a soft reset: disconnect power for at least 5 minutes, then restore power and reset the clock according to the user manual.
- If E12 returns, remove the control panel and inspect the clock/timer section of the PCB for burned components or bulging capacitors.
- Check all connectors between the user interface and main board; reseat them firmly.
- If the clock is a separate module, verify its part number and replace it with a Teka-approved replacement.
- For integrated boards, replacement of the entire control board is usually required if the clock circuit is faulty.
Note: EEPROM reprogramming or firmware updates, if needed, should be performed by an authorized Teka service center.
