Possible Causes
Aged or drifting temperature sensor, partially failed heating element, miscalibrated thermostat, poor door seal causing heat loss
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing internal components.
Diagnosis:
- Use an oven thermometer to compare the actual cavity temperature with the set temperature. Note any consistent offset.
- Inspect the door gasket for gaps, tears, or compression; replace if it does not seal evenly around the door.
- Test the temperature sensor resistance at room temperature and at a known elevated temperature (if possible). Replace if readings are out of specification.
- Check each heating element for hot spots or partial failure (sections that do not glow). Replace any suspect element.
- Some Teka models allow temperature calibration via the settings menu; consult the manual to adjust if the offset is small and consistent.
