Possible Causes
Defective touch control panel, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and control board, Failed electronic oven control (EOC), Moisture or contamination on keypad contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels. Do not work on live circuits.
- Power reset: Turn the oven off at the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore power and check if the error clears.
- Check for stuck keys: Press each button on the control panel firmly. If any key feels stuck or does not click, gently clean around it with a slightly damp cloth (power OFF) and dry thoroughly.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel (usually by removing screws behind the trim). Locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board. Reseat it: unplug, inspect for corrosion or burns, and plug back in fully.
- Moisture check: If the error appeared after heavy cooking or cleaning, leave power off for several hours to allow the keypad area to dry, then test again.
- If still faulty: Replace the touch control panel (user interface). If the new panel does not resolve the issue, the electronic oven control (EOC) may also need replacement.
