Possible Causes

Failed cooling fan motor, Blocked cooling air passages, Faulty fan relay on control board, Defective over-temperature thermostat or thermal switch

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool completely before working near the fan or thermostats.

  • Listen for fan: During a bake or self-clean cycle, you should hear the internal cooling fan running. If not, suspect the fan circuit.
  • Access fan: Remove the rear panel (power OFF) to access the cooling fan assembly. Spin the fan blade by hand; it should turn freely. If seized or noisy, replace the fan motor.
  • Check fan voltage: With power ON and a bake cycle started (only if qualified), measure voltage at the fan motor terminals. If correct voltage is present but the fan does not run, replace the motor. If no voltage, the relay or control board may be faulty.
  • Inspect thermal switches: Locate any high-limit thermostats or thermal cutoffs on the oven body. Test for continuity when cool. Replace any open devices.
