Possible Causes
Failed electronic oven control, Shorted keypad input, Corrupted control firmware, Power surge damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before any disassembly.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 10 minutes, then restore. If F1 returns immediately, suspect the control or keypad.
- Disconnect keypad: With power off, unplug the keypad ribbon from the EOC. Restore power briefly. If F1 clears with keypad disconnected, the keypad is faulty. If F1 remains, the EOC is defective.
- Replace faulty part: Replace the keypad/control panel if it is the source. Otherwise, replace the EOC with the correct Thermador part.
- Surge protection: Consider adding surge protection to prevent repeat failures.
