Possible Causes
Open (broken) oven temperature sensor, Disconnected sensor harness, Broken wire between sensor and control, Faulty sensor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the sensor or control board.
- Check sensor connection: Remove the sensor mounting screws inside the oven and gently pull the sensor forward. Ensure the connector is fully seated.
- Measure resistance: With the sensor unplugged, measure resistance across its terminals. An infinite reading (open) means the sensor is bad; replace it.
- Check wiring: If the sensor tests good, check continuity from the sensor connector to the control board. Repair any open wires or connectors.
- Control board: If sensor and wiring are good, the EOC sensor input may be defective and require replacement.
