Possible Causes
Shorted sensor, Pinched sensor wiring, Moisture in sensor connector, Shorted sensor input on EOC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing.
- Inspect wiring: Check the sensor harness for pinched or melted insulation where it passes through the oven wall.
- Measure resistance: Test the sensor at room temperature. A very low resistance or near 0 Ω indicates a short; replace the sensor.
- Dry connectors: If moisture is present in the connector, dry thoroughly and apply a small amount of dielectric grease to protect contacts.
- Control board: If a known-good sensor still results in F4, the EOC is likely faulty and should be replaced.
