Possible Causes
Open or shorted door lock motor, Faulty lock position switch, Broken wiring harness, Failed lock relay on EOC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the lock system.
- Check harness: Inspect the wiring from the lock motor and switches to the control board for breaks or burns.
- Test motor and switches: Use a multimeter to test the lock motor windings and switch continuity. Replace the lock assembly if readings are out of spec.
- Control relay: If the lock components test good, the lock relay on the EOC may be faulty. Replace the EOC.
- Manual release: Some models have a manual door lock release accessible from the top or rear. Use it to open the door if stuck closed (power OFF).
