Possible Causes
Partially failed bake element, One leg of supply voltage missing (120V instead of 240V), Faulty temperature sensor, Weak relay contacts on EOC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing elements or wiring.
- Check both elements: During preheat, both bake and broil elements may cycle. Visually confirm they glow red. A dim or non-glowing element may be failing.
- Voltage check: Have a qualified person verify that full 240V is present at the oven terminal block. A lost leg will cause slow heating.
- Sensor test: Test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature and replace if out of spec.
- Control relays: If elements and sensor are good, the EOC relays may not be supplying full power. Replace the EOC if necessary.
