How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the broil element.
- Inspect broil element: Check the upper element for cracks, breaks, or burn marks.
- Continuity test: Access the rear of the oven, disconnect the broil element leads, and measure resistance. Replace the element if open.
- Check terminals: Tighten or replace any loose or burned terminals at the element and control board.
- Control board: If the element and wiring are good but no power is sent to the broil element during broil, replace the EOC.
