- Inspect ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board. Unplug it, inspect for cracks, corrosion, or burnt spots, then clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol and reseat firmly.
- Dry moisture: If there are signs of condensation or liquid spills inside the panel, allow it to dry completely. Use a hair dryer on a low, cool setting if needed, keeping it at a safe distance.
- Test keypad: Restore power and test all buttons. If some keys do not respond or F5 reappears, the touchpad / control panel assembly is likely faulty and should be replaced.
- Replace control board if needed: If a new keypad does not resolve the issue, replace the electronic oven control board.
