Possible Causes
Blown oven lamp, Faulty lamp holder, Failed door switch (for light), Open lamp circuit on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power before changing the lamp or accessing the lamp cover.
- Replace lamp: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the Toshiba oven (usually unscrews or unclips). Replace the bulb with the exact type and wattage specified in the manual (often a high‑temperature E14 or similar).
- Inspect lamp holder: Check for heat damage, discoloration, or loose contacts in the lamp holder. Replace the holder if contacts are burnt or loose.
- Door switch test: If the light is supposed to come on with the door open, test the door switch for continuity when pressed and released. Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- PCB output: If bulb, holder, and switch are good, the light relay or triac on the control board may have failed. Replace the Toshiba control PCB if no voltage is supplied to the lamp circuit.
Always use oven-rated lamps; standard household bulbs may fail quickly or shatter under high temperature.
