How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before working on the steam system.
- Check water tank: Ensure the Toshiba water tank is filled to the correct level and properly seated in its compartment. Clean the tank contacts and seals.
- Inspect inlet and filters: Remove and clean any small filters or strainers at the tank outlet and steam generator inlet. Clear limescale or debris.
- Descale steam system: Follow Toshiba's descaling procedure using the recommended descaling agent. Run a full descaling cycle to clear mineral buildup.
- Test pump and level sensor (advanced): Access the steam pump and level sensor. Check for pump operation (sound) during a steam start. Measure sensor continuity or resistance per service data. Replace faulty pump or sensor.
Do not use vinegar or unapproved chemicals unless Toshiba explicitly allows it; this can damage seals and sensors.
