Possible Causes

Tripped household breaker, Blown internal fuse, Loose mains terminal block, Faulty power cord (freestanding models)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Before opening any panels, ensure the oven is unplugged or the breaker is off.

  • Check home power: Verify that the circuit breaker or fuse supplying the Toshiba oven has not tripped. Reset if necessary and see if power returns.
  • Inspect power cord and outlet (if plug-in): Test the outlet with another appliance. Check the cord for cuts or burns. Replace a damaged cord.
  • Access terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the mains terminal block. Tighten loose screws and look for burnt connections. Replace the block if damaged.
  • Internal fuse: Many Toshiba ovens have an internal fuse on the power input or control board. With power off, locate and test the fuse. Replace only with the same rating. If it blows again, a deeper fault exists and a technician should investigate.

If you smell burning or see melted plastic, do not re-energize the oven until it has been professionally inspected.
