Possible Causes
Aged temperature sensor, Poor sensor mounting or contact, Control board calibration drift, Door seal leakage affecting cavity temperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal components.
- Verify with oven thermometer: Place an accurate oven thermometer in the center of the Toshiba oven and compare actual temperature to the set value over several cycles.
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the cavity sensor probe is firmly fixed in its bracket and not touching the wall directly, which can skew readings.
- Replace sensor if drifting: If readings are consistently off by a large margin, replace the temperature sensor with a Toshiba-specified NTC probe.
- Use calibration function: Some models allow temperature offset adjustment in the settings menu. Apply a small offset (+/− 10–20°C) to correct minor inaccuracies.
- Inspect door seal: Replace a worn or torn door gasket that allows heat to escape and affects temperature stability.
