Possible Causes
Faulty function selector (rotary encoder or touch logic), Failed main relay on PCB, Broken mode wiring harness, Software lock (child lock or demo mode)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the control panel.
- Check for child lock/demo mode: Refer to the Toshiba manual to ensure the oven is not in child lock or showroom/demo mode, which can disable heating.
- Test different modes: Try several modes (bake, grill, fan). If none start, suspect the main relay or control logic.
- Inspect selector/encoder: For models with a rotary selector, ensure the knob is not cracked and the encoder is firmly mounted. Replace the selector if it does not register changes.
- Check main relay: On the control PCB, inspect the main power relay for heat damage. If the relay coil never energizes or contacts are burnt, replace the board.
