Possible Causes
Shorted lamp holder, Failed lamp relay on PCB, Incorrect lamp wattage causing overload
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power before handling the lamp or opening panels.
- Check lamp: Remove the lamp cover inside the oven and inspect the bulb. Replace with the correct Tristar oven lamp (heat-resistant, correct wattage).
- Inspect lamp holder: Look for signs of arcing, melting, or corrosion on the lamp holder contacts. Replace the lamp holder assembly if damaged.
- Control board check: If the lamp remains on or off regardless of door state and bulb condition, the lamp relay on the main PCB may be stuck. Inspect the board for heat damage around the relay.
- Replace PCB if needed: If the relay is welded closed or open, replace the main control PCB.
After repair, verify that the lamp operates correctly with door opening and oven functions, and that E14 is cleared.
