Possible Causes
Shorted touch key on control panel, Conductive contamination on keypad, Faulty keypad controller IC
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
- Identify stuck key: Observe which function appears to be pressed (e.g., a specific mode or temperature key). This can help locate the affected area on the keypad.
- Clean the surface: Gently clean the front of the touch panel with a dry microfiber cloth. Avoid liquids that can seep into the edges.
- Inspect inside: Remove the control panel and check for moisture, grease, or foreign material on the back of the touch panel and PCB. Carefully clean with isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry fully.
- Replace panel: If E15 persists and the same key appears stuck, replace the touch control panel / keypad assembly. If a separate keypad controller board is used, it may also need replacement.
Reassemble and test all keys to ensure normal operation without E15.
