How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the control panel.
- Check brightness settings: Some Tristar models allow dimming. Confirm the brightness is not set to minimum in the user settings.
- Inspect connectors: Remove the control panel and reseat the connector between the main PCB and the display module.
- Look for damage: Examine the display board for burnt components or cracked solder joints, especially around the backlight driver IC or transformer.
- Replace display module: If the display remains dim or flickers, replace the display PCB / module specific to your Tristar oven.
Reassemble and verify that the display is stable and E17 is cleared.
