Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This fault involves live mains distribution on the PCB. Disconnect power and consider professional service if you are not experienced with high-voltage electronics.
- Check supply voltage: Verify that the oven is receiving correct mains voltage at the terminal block. Tighten any loose terminal screws.
- Inspect main PCB: Remove the control panel to access the main control board. Look for a large relay or triac that switches power to the heating elements. Check for burnt spots, cracked solder joints, or broken PCB traces.
- Reseat connectors: Ensure the main power input connector and heater output connectors on the PCB are fully seated and not heat-damaged.
- Board replacement: If the relay is visibly damaged or the board has burnt tracks, replace the entire Tristar main control PCB. Component-level repair is not recommended for most DIYers.
After replacement, reassemble and test all heating functions. If E7 persists, verify wiring between the PCB and elements for continuity.
