Possible Causes
Open main oven element, Blown thermal fuse, Failed main heater relay on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before testing or replacing any components.
- Check elements: Inspect top, bottom, and convection elements for visible breaks. Test each element's resistance from the rear terminals; an open circuit indicates failure.
- Test thermal fuse: Locate the thermal fuse on the oven body and test for continuity. Replace if open with the correct Tristar thermal fuse.
- Verify power to elements: With extreme caution and only if qualified, check if mains voltage reaches the elements when a heating function is selected. If not, the main control PCB or selector switch (on manual models) may be faulty.
- Replace faulty part: Replace the failed heating element, thermal fuse, or main control PCB as identified.
Reassemble and test a low-temperature bake cycle to confirm heating is restored.
