Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before working on the door.

Inspect hinges: Open the door and check if it sags or feels loose. Look for play in the hinge arms where they attach to the door and chassis.
Check seal: Inspect the rubber door gasket around the cavity for tears, flattening, or missing sections. Replace the door gasket if damaged.
Adjust or replace hinges: Many Tristar doors can be removed by opening to a specific angle and lifting off the hinges. Replace worn door hinge assemblies in pairs to ensure even closure.
Verify closure: After replacement, check that the door closes firmly and evenly against the seal.

Proper door closure is essential for correct temperature and safety.
