Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, Blocked air vents or fan cover, Partially failed convection element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the fan cover or rear panel.
- Check convection mode: Select a fan-assisted function and listen for the convection fan. If silent, the fan motor may be faulty.
- Inspect fan and cover: Remove the fan cover inside the cavity. Clean grease and debris from the cover slots and fan blades. Ensure nothing obstructs airflow.
- Test fan motor: Spin the fan by hand; if stiff, replace the convection fan motor. Test motor winding resistance; an open circuit indicates failure.
- Check convection element: Inspect and test the circular convection element for continuity. Replace if open or visibly damaged.
After cleaning or replacing components, test baking with convection mode and monitor for more even results.
