How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Turn off power at the breaker before servicing. Surfaces may be hot; allow the oven to cool completely.
Diagnostic steps:
- Verify that the oven is not actually overheating due to misuse (e.g., foil covering vents, blocked convection fan). Remove any obstructions and ensure proper airflow.
- Access the oven temperature sensor as described for F01 and measure resistance at room temperature. A significantly low resistance (e.g., under 900 Ω) indicates a shorted sensor; replace it.
- Inspect the sensor wiring for insulation damage where it passes through the rear wall or near the broil element. Repair any shorts to chassis.
- If the sensor and wiring are normal, the EOC may be misreading temperature and should be replaced.
Note: After replacing the sensor or control, run a test bake and verify that the oven reaches and maintains set temperature without re-triggering F02.
