Possible Causes

Sensor leads shorted together, Sensor harness pinched behind oven, Moisture intrusion in sensor connector, Failed EOC misinterpreting sensor signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power at the service panel before removing the oven from the cabinet or accessing rear panels.

How to check for a short:

  • Remove the oven temperature sensor and disconnect it from the harness.
  • Measure resistance across the sensor terminals. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a shorted sensor; replace the sensor.
  • With the sensor unplugged, check resistance from each harness lead to chassis ground. Any continuity indicates a shorted wire; inspect the harness where it passes through metal openings and near heating elements.
  • Repair or replace damaged wiring. If wiring is good and F03 persists, replace the EOC.

Tip: Use high-temperature wire and proper grommets when repairing harnesses inside the oven cavity area.
