Possible Causes

Failed convection fan motor, Seized convection fan blade, Open or shorted convection fan wiring, Faulty EOC convection fan relay

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the rear panel or fan cover. Sharp edges and moving parts can cause injury.

Inspection steps:

  • Remove the convection fan cover inside the oven cavity (usually held by screws). Try spinning the fan blade by hand; it should rotate freely without grinding.
  • If the fan is seized or noisy, replace the convection fan motor assembly.
  • Access the rear of the oven and check the convection motor wiring harness for burns or loose connections.
  • With power restored briefly and extreme caution, you can test for voltage at the motor terminals when convection is commanded on. If proper voltage is present but the motor does not run, replace the motor.
  • If no voltage is present and wiring is intact, the EOC convection relay may be defective and the control board should be replaced.

Warning: Live voltage testing should only be performed by trained persons using insulated tools.
