Possible Causes

Liquid spill into keypad, Worn or stuck membrane switch, Shorted keypad ribbon, Failed user interface board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.

Steps:

  • Inspect the front of the keypad for signs of liquid intrusion (cleaning solution, spills). Allow the panel to dry completely if recently exposed to moisture.
  • Remove the control panel and disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC. Restore power briefly: if F11 clears with the keypad disconnected, the keypad is defective and must be replaced.
  • If F11 persists even with the keypad disconnected, the EOC is likely faulty and should be replaced.
  • When installing a new keypad, avoid spraying cleaners directly on the panel; spray onto a cloth instead.
