Possible Causes
Convection motor tach sensor failure, Broken fan blade causing imbalance, Wiring fault to tach sensor, EOC not detecting fan speed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the convection fan cover or rear panel.
Steps:
- Remove the convection fan cover and inspect the fan blade for damage or looseness. Replace if cracked or wobbling.
- Access the convection motor and any attached tachometer or feedback sensor. Check the connector and wiring for damage.
- Test the tach sensor according to the service manual (often by measuring pulse output while spinning the motor). Replace the motor assembly if the tach is integrated and faulty.
- If the motor and tach are good, the EOC may not be reading the signal correctly and should be replaced.
