Possible Causes
Weak igniter not maintaining proper current, Dirty burner or flame sensor area, Low gas pressure, Faulty gas valve not staying open
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off gas and power before cleaning burners or replacing igniters. If you suspect gas pressure issues, contact your gas supplier.
Steps:
- Clean the bake burner ports and the area around the igniter with a soft brush to ensure a stable flame pattern.
- Observe the igniter and flame during operation. If the igniter glows weakly or the flame is unstable, replace the igniter.
- Check that the burner is properly seated and aligned over the gas orifice.
- If the flame lights but the valve closes quickly, the safety valve may be faulty; replace the gas valve after confirming igniter current is within spec.
