Viking Keypad / Touch Panel Failure

Possible Causes

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.

Steps:

Remove the control panel and inspect the keypad ribbon cable for cracks or corrosion at the connector. Clean contacts gently with isopropyl alcohol and re-seat.
If certain keys never respond, the membrane is likely worn; replace the keypad or entire user interface assembly.
If a new keypad does not resolve the issue, the EOC may not be processing key inputs and should be replaced.
Going forward, avoid spraying cleaners directly on the panel; apply to a cloth instead.
