Safety: Ensure the oven is cool before working on the door.

Steps:

Inspect the door gasket around the cavity for tears, gaps, or hardened sections. Replace the gasket if it does not seal evenly.
Open the door to the broil stop position and check for excessive side-to-side play. Worn hinges or springs should be replaced as a pair.
On some Viking models, the door can be lifted off the hinge receivers for easier hinge replacement. Follow the service manual procedure.
Check the latch strike on the frame for bending; adjust or replace if the latch does not engage smoothly.

Viking oven door will not close fully; heat escapes and temperature is unstable.
