Possible Causes
Shorted keypad matrix on touch panel, Moisture or spill intrusion into control panel, Damaged ribbon cable, Failed user interface board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before working on the control panel.
- Dry out panel: If the error appeared after a spill or heavy cleaning, leave power off and allow the control panel area to dry for several hours. Do not use heat directly on the panel.
- Disconnect keypad: With power OFF, remove the back cover and unplug the keypad ribbon from the control board. Restore power briefly. If F7 disappears with the keypad disconnected, the keypad is defective.
- Inspect for corrosion: Check the ribbon and connector for green/white corrosion or burn marks. Replace the keypad/touch panel if damaged.
- Replace interface or control: If F7 persists even with the keypad disconnected, replace the electronic oven control board. If it only occurs with keypad connected, replace the control panel/touchpad assembly.
