Possible Causes
Weak or partially open bake element, One leg of 240V power missing, Open convection element (if used for preheat), Faulty oven temperature sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before electrical testing.
- Check both elements: During preheat, both bake and broil elements may cycle. Verify both glow red. If one stays dark, test and replace that element.
- Verify 240V supply: Use a multimeter at the terminal block to confirm ~240 VAC between L1 and L2. If only 120V is present, correct the house wiring or breaker issue.
- Sensor test: Test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature. Replace if out of range.
- Convection element: On convection models, test the convection element for continuity and replace if open.
