How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from the mains supply by switching off the circuit breaker or removing the fuse. Confirm power is off with a suitable tester before removing any panels.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Verify supply voltage: Check that the oven is receiving the correct mains voltage at the rear terminal block. If there is no power or low voltage, inspect the wall outlet, cooker switch, and house fuse/MCB.
- 2. Inspect terminal block and wiring: Remove the rear cover and inspect the Zanussi mains terminal block for signs of overheating, melted plastic, or loose screws. Tighten connections and replace a damaged terminal block if necessary.
- 3. Check harness to main PCB: Trace the wiring from the terminal block to the main electronic control board (often located behind the control panel). Ensure all plugs are fully seated and there are no burnt connectors.
- 4. Visual inspection of PCB: Remove the control panel (note screw positions) and inspect the main PCB for burnt components, cracked solder joints around the power relay, or bulging capacitors. If damage is visible, the board should be replaced.
- 5. Replace main control board: If wiring and supply are correct but F01 persists, replace the Zanussi oven main control board with the exact part number from the rating plate or existing PCB label. Transfer any selector knobs or mounting brackets from the old board.
Warning: Do not attempt component-level repair on the PCB unless you are qualified in electronics. For most users, replacing the complete board is the safe option.
