Timer Not Set / Timer in Auto Mode
Oven display works but heating only occurs when the clock is set, or oven will not start until time is set

Possible Causes
Electronic timer left in automatic mode, Clock not set after power cut, Misunderstanding of timer controls
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is required for this issue; no need to disconnect power.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Set the clock: Press the clock or timer button and use +/- or rotary controls to set the correct time. Confirm with the OK or clock button.
- 2. Exit automatic mode: If an AUTO symbol is lit, cancel any programmed start/stop times by pressing the timer button repeatedly and setting all times to zero or manual mode (see Zanussi user manual).
- 3. Test heating: Once the clock shows a steady time and manual symbol, select a cooking function and temperature. The oven should now heat.
Warning: If the timer cannot be set or remains in AUTO, the timer module may be faulty and require replacement.
