Possible Causes
Burned-out oven light bulb, Faulty light socket, Failed light switch or relay, Loose wiring to light assembly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power or at least ensure the light circuit is off before changing bulbs.
- Step 1 – Replace bulb: Remove the light cover inside the oven and replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven bulb specified by Zline.
- Step 2 – Inspect socket: If a new bulb does not work, inspect the socket for corrosion or burn marks. Replace the socket if damaged.
- Step 3 – Check door switch: If the light is controlled by the door, test the door switch for proper operation and replace if faulty.
- Step 4 – Control relay: If the light is controlled by a button on the panel and the socket and bulb are good, the light relay on the control board may have failed. Replace the control board if necessary.
Tip: Always use bulbs rated for oven use; regular bulbs can fail quickly or shatter.
