Possible Causes
Warped oven racks, Buildup of grease on rack supports, Damaged porcelain coating on cavity rails, Incorrect rack type installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the oven is cool before handling racks.
- Step 1 – Clean racks and rails: Remove racks and clean both racks and side rails thoroughly with degreaser. Rinse and dry completely.
- Step 2 – Inspect for warping: Place racks on a flat surface to check for warping. Replace any that are bent.
- Step 3 – Check cavity rails: Inspect the oven’s side rails for chips or rough spots in the porcelain. Lightly smooth sharp edges with fine sandpaper (avoid exposing bare metal excessively).
- Step 4 – Use high-temp lubricant (optional): Apply a very thin layer of high-temperature food-safe lubricant to the rack contact points if recommended by Zline.
Note: Do not use regular oils or greases; they can smoke or burn in the oven.
