Possible Causes
Recent power loss or surge, Faulty power cord or outlet, Internal controller power supply fault, Tripped GFCI or breaker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the grill is on a properly grounded outlet. Do not bypass GFCI protection.
- Step 1 – Check outlet: Plug a lamp or other small appliance into the same outlet to confirm power. Reset any tripped GFCI or breaker.
- Step 2 – Inspect power cord: Check the ASMOKE grill power cord for cuts, crushed sections, or burn marks. Replace the power cord if damaged.
- Step 3 – Power cycle: Unplug the grill for at least 5 minutes. Plug back in and turn the controller knob from Off to Smoke or On. Many controllers clear ErP after a full power reset.
- Step 4 – Check internal fuses (if equipped): Some ASMOKE controllers have an internal fuse. Remove the controller and inspect for a small glass or blade fuse. Replace only with the same rating.
- Step 5 – Replace controller if persistent: If ErP remains and power supply and cord are good, the internal power circuit of the digital controller is likely faulty and should be replaced.
