Possible Causes
Drip tray installed backwards or not seated, Grease channel clogged, Grease bucket missing or overfilled, Grill not level
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the grill to cool completely before handling the drip tray or grease bucket.
- Step 1 – Verify level: Use a level to ensure the grill is slightly pitched toward the grease bucket side.
- Step 2 – Check drip tray orientation: Confirm the ASMOKE drip tray is installed in the correct direction with the drain hole aligned to the grease channel.
- Step 3 – Clean grease channel: Scrape and wipe the grease channel leading to the bucket. Remove any hardened grease plugs.
- Step 4 – Empty and reinstall bucket: Make sure the grease bucket is properly hung and not overflowing.
- Step 5 – Inspect for warping: If the drip tray is warped and not directing grease correctly, replace the drip tray / heat diffuser.
